Not sure what to say?

I am having a Mass said for Bishop Donato at my church, Notre Dame in Cedar Knolls on sept. 3, 2016 at 5 pm. My parents both loved this great and very kind and loving priest. They knew him at St. Raphael's. When called he presided at my Dad's Mass and when my Mom died this past June I of course called him as they kept in touch my mail. He said he couldn't make it but never said he was ill. I know he and my parents are with the Lord!Terry Wisolmerski

Dear Nino, Bob, and the entire Donato family,
We were so saddened to learn of the passing of your dear brother. Bishop Donato was truly a great and fine man who did so much for so many. His life was honorably and well lived in service of his flock. Please accept our sincerest condolences. May God rest his soul.

Rest in peace, Fr. Tom I will always remember the first day I met you when you arrived as the new pastor at St. Raphael's Parish in Livingston back in June of 2001. Your kindness and your graciousness touched my heart, and you are truly a Holy Man of God. I loved getting your Christmas cards every year long after you left our parish, and I will also remember your fondness for my mother. She loved you too! You will always hold a special place in my heart, and I know you will have a place...

May God bless you and your family in this time of sorrow.

My condolences to the family on the loss of this gentle man. I first met Father "Tom" when he officiated at my daughter and son-in-law's wedding in 2001. He later christened both my grandchildren as well. It was always such a calming and special experience to be in his company.

My sincerest sympathy to Bob Donato and his family on the loss of their brother. My thoughts and prayers are with you.

One did not have to be in Bishop Donato's presence very long before recognizing he was someone special. My grandchildren were altar servers for him when he was pastor of St. Paul's in Ramsey. Later, as he performed the Sacrament of Ordination for the first time as a bishop while visiting St. Paul's, he explained from the altar beforehand how nervous it made him. He was human; he was spiritual and he was clearly an exceptional priest. He has now taken his place among the...

We lost one of the good guys and Bishop Donato was a great priest who I first knew at St. Vincent's in Bayonne many years ago. We reconnected at my present parish and he was very kind to my kids as Altar Servers whenever he visited St. Michael's in Cranford. RIP Bishop Donato and thank for your fine service and dedication.

Thank you to bishop Danoto for giving a lifetime of love and kindness to all.condolence to the Danoto family.
