Not sure what to say?

Gail was the reason I played for LC I was his neighbor next door. I lived on regal and played many a nights at underhill park with Gail. What a great man, I miss him a lot.

Always my most exciting player.

Nobody mentioned that Gail Cogdill was also the most handsome player in the NFL in the 1960s, all the girls in my school had the hots for him. Male blonde bombshell.
The Lions had a great defense, and decent offenseive line, but on offense only Cogdill ( and I can still hear Van Patrick prounouncing his name) Terry Barr ( who also got injured, torn Achilles tendon as I recall, about 1965) and Nick Petrosante and Danny Lewis...QBs Earl Morrall and Milt Plum were certainly no John...

My father, John Cogdill, was a cousin to Gale. When my daddy was in the Veterans Home due to Parkinson's disease, he brought my dad a hat and jersey while visiting him. My dad was so excited.
It was a joy to see my daddy so happy.

Sorry to hear that he has passed. Gail was always an inspiration to me growing up next door to him in Spokane. He was my babysitter and close friend with my dad and his brothers. Some where I have a couple pictures myself playing basketball and football (when I was 4 or 5) with Gail, his brother Gary, my dad Dee Thompson, Uncles Noel (Tommy) and Rod Thompson at Libby Jr High. He is the reason that I have been a Cougar fan for almost 60 years. Hope that all you men are playing pickup...
