Not sure what to say?

Almost every time I pick up my knitting (which is often), I have a dialogue with Gail. She gives me prudent, useful, and very clever tips.

I had the privilege of knitting with Gail on a few occasions and I am heartbroken to think that we will not sit across from each other at a cafe and share our love of the craft.

Gail was a knitting treasure and a deeply kind and compassionate woman. She facilitated the yarn donations that helped me begin my knitting group at the Germaine...

Dear family and friends of Gail,
How bereft we are! How keenly we miss our beloved Auntie Gail, our comforter and friend. She made us better knitters and better people, by her example. She gave so much to so many for so long that we can not yet comprehend the enormity of our loss and grief. Let each of us pause often to remember all that made her so wonderful -- her sense of fun, her inclusiveness, her humor, her willingness to tackle difficult issues with grace, her style, her dedication...

Gail will be greatly missed by the knitting community. so many of us knew her because of her great work with KnitU, even though we never met her. My condolences to her family.

My sincerest condolences to the Gail's family and friends. I knew Gail through KNITU and always appreciated her love of the craft, her knowledge, her sense of humor, her helpfulness. She made the commitment of her time to ensure that knitters could come together and share their experiences, gain knowledge, and pass on their love of knitting to others. Her labors of love gained her many admirers and friends. May God grant Gail peace..and comfort us until one day we meet again!

How sad I was to learn of Gail's passing. Through Knit U, Gail was always delightful and helpful to us all. I know she's knitting socks with the angels.

My thoughts are with the family and friends.
Gail, have a great journey.

Gail was my online friend and knitting resource, although our contact was limited to knit-u, lurking and reading her entries. What a charming, knowledgeable, delightful person she was! She made us all feel welcome and valued, a rare and wonderful quality. I miss her daily.

Gail was a wonderful "list auntie" and all of us members of Knit U benefited by knowing her. She kept our chatter "on track" and made each of us feel special. With such a huge membership I was always amazed that whenever I emailed her she replied expediently and with good cheer.
My heartfelt prayers and condolences to her family.
I'm sure I speak for every member of the Knit U community when I say we will miss her too.

My loving thoughts go to Gail's family and close friends. She was so beloved as our friend and confidant in the knitting world with KnitU. She was always responsive and kind in correspondence personally and on KnitU. I miss her humor, talent and knowledge that she was so willing to share with all of us. She is how paving the way for thousands of knitters to join her eventually for angel knitting.
