My very earliest memories are from time spent at the McKenzie home in Galway. Katie was my babysitter and Gail and Dan-Pie helped out. I have always looked back on those days with great fondness and pleasure. It is very rare to feel such unconditional love outside of your own family. Although it has been many years since I have seen the McKenzies, I have thought of them often and have missed those days a great deal. It was obvious how much they loved children and I feel extremely lucky...

I would like to express my sincerest sympathy for the loss of Mrs. McKenzie. Although I haven’t seen her in many years, I do have very fond memories of Mrs. McKenzie from all those times back in high school when Kate and I would hang around her kitchen. We thought we were "cool" but she knew better and by the smirk on her face and a flash in her eye, she let us know that there was so much we had yet to learn about life.
