Not sure what to say?

I still think of Gail often. Just recently after reading about how certain teens felt not being part of the "in crowd", the kind of despair felt by not really fitting in. I was one of those. But Gail (definitely a member of that "in-crowd") went out of her way to make me feel included. Because of Gail, I had a date for junior prom. Because of Gail, I got to go to Cleveland's Debutante Ball. Because of Gail, I got to feel that even though I wasn't popular, I did have friends and people...

Thinking of my wonderful friend

I can't believe that it has been a year since Gail left us. Since we lived in different cities and I didn't see her more than once a year or so, I momentarily forget that she's no longer with us. And then I remember. I will never understand why such a vibrant, thoughtful and caring person was taken from us so early but I try to think about it this way:
If you look at a tapestry, on the one side there is a unique picture that depicts either a moment in time or tells a story. Every...

Gail's name came up at our recent 50 th Shaker reunion as she was in one of my class photos from Fernway school. I was so saddened to hear of her early passing. I remember going to her house after school, in first grade,I think, and getting to hold her baby sister who was just 6 days old! I couldn't believe how easily Gail held the baby. I think that experience started my love of babies and lead to my work as a pediatric nurse for 40 years. My sympathies to her family. RIP old friend.

I could always make you laugh and smile...even now. We'll see you up there.

Goodbye, Gail
I will miss my frequent calls to her.
We were friends during her courtship and her becoming married to Michael and the remaining shared life with her wonderful husband and us lucky folks related and touched.
Milk and cookies, peanut butter and jelly, Michael and Gail.
All were thought of as one and all were different and good.
I loved Gail and I liked Gail.
Fate was kind enough to have Gail love me and have her like me.
Certainly a fair exchange.
Gail...

So sorry for your loss! I have such fond memories of playing tennis with Gail at Mayfield Country Club! Please know that our prayers are with all of you. God Bless!

I will forever remember Gail as my Fernway School friend who introduced me to open-faced, toasted peanut butter sandwiches for lunch. We lost touch over time, but, when I ran into her in recent years, she had become a lovely gracious woman. My sympathies to the family. -- Jean Sycle Martin

My heart is heavy. Mike, as you know I didn't know Gail well, but the times we did spend with her were fun. We could immediately tell she was one of the good ones.
I will miss her Wake, but my thoughts are with you.
Hope to get together soon to commiserate.
