Not sure what to say?

I just learned of Gail's passing and send my deepest condolences to Gail's family. She did so much to improve many lives. Gail was my "little sister" in our MHS sorority. We were both journalists but grew apart after then due to different colleges and jobs. We both started our newspaper careers in different states. However, I followed Gail's wonderful career and read all her books. She will live on through her work. Well done my friend. Love Chris Hay Silva

So very sorry for your loss, my deepest condolences to the Sheehy family, a literary talent that will be missed. May God be with you.

She deeply influenced my life and career with her book Passages. My sincere condolences to her family.

My husband and I have been married 53 years and were helped along the way by Gail Sheehy's series of books: Passages, New Passages, Mens Passages, & the Silent Passage. I was an educator and parent and read many books about the stages of childhood. It made sense to me that stages do not stop as adults and Gail's books led generations through growth with knowledge and compassion for ourselves and others. Then last year we read Gail's memoir, Daring, and learned so much more about her and...

My deepest condolences to the family of Gail for your loss. Remember the days of old (Deu. 32:7) memories that will bring a smile to your face when you think of Gail and the love she had for you.

When I was navigating a dark time of deep transition, Gail's writing touched and transformed my heart. Her gifts of heart-to-heart communication and open transparency remain as a legacy of hope for many. May you also experience comfort, healing, and hope even in her loss as you treasure the blessings of her memory.

Please accept my sincere condolences.

We are saddened for the loss of Mrs. Sheehy. May the God of tender mercies give her family, friends and all of those whose lives she touched, continuous comfort. Peace be with you all.
