I remember Gaillyn who taught me how to Jitterbug/fast dance when I was an awkward sophomore & she was the loveliest Senior class Lady. Her sister "G.G" , my pal, in our sophomore class was the person who arranged for the lessons. I was in awe of this beautiful Head Majorette and astounded that she would teach me how to "swing dance", I had this crush on her forever and wished I had had the nerve to pursue her romantically after graduating from NHS. A dear friend, I was lucky enough to go to New York with two other friends to hear her perform at Lincoln Center. We cried along with her husband Joe at the beauty of the music. Forever in our hearts.

During my time with the Washington Chorus (Jan 2001 - June 2006) Gailyn would pick me up from nearby Greenbelt and when my dad passed away in December 2004, she gave me a WP clip of his obituary. Such a great person!
