Gale Lynn Fugatt Falgout, 66, of Lake Charles, Louisiana, went to be with her Lord and Savior on February 7, 2017 in a local hospital following a brief illness. Gale was the oldest of five children and was born on November 17, 1950, in Sulphur, Louisiana, the daughter of Gene Fugatt and Betty Lyons Fugatt.

Gale graduated from Terrebonne High School in Houma, Louisiana in 1968. In 1969 she married the love of her life, Errol Falgout, who she was married to for 47 years. Gale was the student ministry assistant at Trinity Baptist Church where she served for 28 years. Ms. Gale, as the students called her, felt a calling by God to help bring young people to Christ. She was very artistic and spent her leisure time scrapbooking, traveling and spoiling her grandchildren.

She was proceeded in death by her mother Betty Lyons Fugatt; father Gene Fugatt; sister Jean Fugatt; and nephew Nicholas Fugatt. Those left to remember and celebrate her life are her husband, Errol Falgout; her daughter, Stacy (Shawn) Dowden of Lake Charles, Louisiana; her two sons, Steven (Laura) Falgout of McKinney, Texas, and Chad Falgout; her sister Gary Fugatt of Houma, Louisiana; two brothers, Kenneth (Patricia) Fugatt of Lake Charles, Louisiana and Curtis (Stacy) Fugatt; five grandchildren, Elisabeth Falgout, Brennan January, Kadynce Dowden, Aubrey Falgout, and Kamdyn Falgout; two nieces, Alexandra Fugatt and Emily Fugatt; and six cats and a crazy dog.

The funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, February 10, 2017 at Trinity Baptist Church North Venue. Visitation will be held between 5:00 PM and 8:00 PM on Thursday, February 9, 2017 at Johnson’s Funeral Home. Visitation will continue at the church from 9:30 AM until the time of service.

In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be given to the Trinity Baptist Church Student Ministry Scholarship Fund to help youth attend camps and mission trips.

Not sure what to say?

I have precious memories of wonderful times with Gale in the TBC library and beyond! Times of sweet fellowship and a whole lot of laughter! I am so blessed to have known her!!!

Ms Gale's family:
I am sorry for your loss. It's at these most difficult moments that we need to seek God for comfort (2 Cor 1:3)

Sorry we ran out of time!

My heart is broken that Gale has passed away. She was a dear friend. I will always remember the fun times we had working on the youth projects at Trinity. I will see you again in heaven my sweet friend.

It was a blessing to serve Jesus alongside Gale for 5 years at Trinity. She always made me laugh. We pray for peace and comfort for her family.

Our hearts go out to Errol, Chad, Steven, Stacy, family & other friends as we walk this path of saying "Goodbye" to Gale. I have so many memories of our times together when we were at Trinity. A Godly woman who served her Lord in her church tirelessly for decades with joy and enthusiasm. She loved her youth, & for so many years, along side of several youth ministers, was the glue that kept the youth ministries running smoothly. I was blessed by our special friendship while we were there and...
