Not sure what to say?

Remembering you today Garland. I can still hear your voice with a knowing smile. Your passion for youth and education was inspiring. Prayers for your family as they take comfort in remembering you today.

Although i am saddened that Mr. Garland has pass I'll still remember his great wisdom and powerful teachings. What i got from his education and while i was in struggles to finish school; he always told me i was smart and that my writing and bright mind will get me far. I always pushed forward to succeed, Though he helped me pass his class... I gained a loving memory of him! RIP Mr G!!

"Every leaf in the forest,
Every blade in the field,
Lays down its life,
As beautifully as it was taken up."
- Henry David Thoreau

Life is so short. Although it saddens me to hear of Mr. Garland's passing, I am also heartened by the life he led. I remember many of the discussions we all had as a staff at NSAS about how to make things work best for our students. Mr. Garland's life was rich in meaning - with/for his students, his work, his colleagues and his family.

Mr. Garland In deed was a great teacher.

Mr.Garland always had something insightful and comical to say. His mind and perception was worn on his sleeve and he damn sure wasn't afraid to say it. I loved the quotes he put up on his board for the students to decipher and I'll miss them always. To a great teacher and a great role model, mad love Mr.G... xo

One of the best teachers @ New school gone too soon.. RIP Mr Garland

I am so sorry to hear of the passing of Garland. We worked together at New School for Arts and Sciences. I appreciated his wisdom and honesty. As a fellow teacher, there were so many times that he encouraged me. He will be missed. To his family and friends, please accept my prayers and love.
