Not sure what to say?

Garnet was special to many people - all of the employees here at the Historical Commission will miss her smiling face every day. Garnet, I hope you're having a wonderful time wherever you are!

I first met Garnet when we worked together at Belle Mont, but I had heard a lot about her before that because I was at TSU after she left. She was loved by a lot of people. I am grateful for the opportunity I had to know her and work with her.

Garnet will be missed greatly, she was a wonderful daughter-in-law even thought it was just for a short time. All my love and sympathy to Suzanne& Jim. She was much love.

I first met Garnet when she came to UAB as a graduate student. The first thing I noticed was her big smile that she always had when she walked through the door and she always brought that smile with her. I am truly going to miss that. My prayers are with the family.

I met Garnet in my first class as a grad student at UAB. For the next three years, no class, study session, or get together was ever complete unless Garnet was there. She was a good friend and such a sweet person. My thoughts and prayers go out to her family.

I heard Garnet's name long before I met her, having come through TSU after her. It wasn't until we were both grad students at UAB that I had the pleasure of meeting her. In the 3+ years since then Garnet has been one of my dearest friends. She was so tough, but funny, sweet, and cute at the same time- even out in the field on day 3 of the dig with mud up to our knees. She was an inspiration and she will be deeply missed.

We made it through Troy State and UAB together. (Papers, tests, worries.) Not to mention all the work in the field (bugs, sunburns, and the heat.) Through it all Garnet was always positive and determined. She was a source of comfort and strength for many people. To her family and friends, my love and thoughts. To Garnet, my love and friendship always!

I had the pleasure of working w/ Garnet at the Brierfield site a couple of years ago. I remember how very passionate she was about archaeology. She was a joy to be around...she will be missed.
