Read MoreGarnett and I became friends when my husband did some renovations on her and Floyd's house in Beverly Shores. My children walked her dog, Lucky, when she was travelling. Garnett was a wonderful friend, very wise, caring and encouraging, and she had a great sense of humor. I miss her.

I just found out that Garnett has passed. We knew each other through the Vivian's Chapter of the Elks in Michigan City. She was such a wonderful person and I enjoyed her company from the first time we met. Please accept my prayers and condolences.

I always enjoyed the time I spent I spent with Garnett. She was so very much "up to speed" on so many current topics and every conversation gave me something I had not known before. Her calm and engaging demeanor was something that allowed her to make so many friends of all ages. She will be missed but my memories of her will remain vivid.
