Not sure what to say?

I´m still a very close friend to Garrett. I have lived a lot of years comparing people to my lost friend Garrett. It´s not fair that I try to compare others to you. You were such a gift to this world and did things "the right way". I don´t have the words to explain what you meant to this country, your family, everyone who was graced to know you, as well as the United States Marine Corps. You lived life with a passion and lust we all should mirror. What can I say but after all these years your...

To the Lawton Family,

I was saddened to learn of Garrett's passing this past weekend at my high school's 20th year reunion (Herndon High School, Herndon Virginia). Dear family of Garrett Lawton,
My name is Garrett clark and I was assined, by my history teacher, to find a fallen veteran with some connection to me and write to his or her family. I want you to know that Garrett was a hero and I would like to thank you for his service. To serve in the United States Marine Core is a great honor. Upon reading some of the other entries I have learned that garrett was deeply loved and will not be forgotten. You and Garrett will be in my prayers.

He spoke often of his Mother, Cal, and Kenna. We spent a lot of time at the boxing gym at WVU beating the heck out of each other. I remember him asking me permission to take home a video tape of us boxing to show his family; that was Garrett. Honor, Integrity, and full of...
