Garrick Lew

It´s been almost 6 years my friend and I still miss you. Whether in the practice of law, or on a ski slope, I always learned something from you. I miss our trips to Warriors and Giants games too. Even in the end you showed grace and bravery. You were a true friend.

Garrick's passing is a loss to all those who have met him. During one summer many years ago, we sat next to each other in an algebra class. We developed a friendship and respect for one another. Garrick was always the leader among many fine individuals in my six years attending the same homeroom at McChesney Jr. and Oakland High School. He will be sorely missed with fond memories.

I was privileged in my life to call Garrick a friend. He was a patient mentor, a creative legal strategist, and a man of character and humor. He never charged full legal fees to single parents, always stood for the right thing, and helped people build better lives. Man, he could keep a party going too. I miss him now, and I will miss him until I die. Rest in peace Garr.

We are deeply saddened to hear of Garrick's passing after having so much hope for his recovery. He was a good friend as well as an attorney. We are sorry to have missed his memorial. Our condolences to his wife and two boys that he was so proud of.
