It is Easter Sunday and as spring rolls in I remembered back to a day where Garrison was out front of the Ridgeville Office putting in railroad ties and getting ready to put in the spring landscaping. I was his first tenant in the new office building he had just finished. I decided to look up his cell phone and send him a surprise Happy and Blessed Easter. Instead I learned he had passed. I was very stunned and then so sad. To his family. Not a time went by that he didn't speak...

With a broken heart, I find myself learning of your passing while I tried looking you up to see if I could connect with you. Gary, about 40 years ago, you were the light that showed me so much opportunity that I didn´t know I had. You laid the first step of everything I have gone to follow. I drew the maps. I always wanted to be in the field surveying. You said, little girl, it´s too hard for you. But I constantly begged. You finally let me do field work by letting me dig perk holes...

The tribute is beautiful. I found out today. I have beautiful and fun memories with Garrison. I'll see you again, Father Time...

I remember that Mr. Scott welcomed me on the many occasions I stayed over as a child. My thoughts are with you Liz and family.

I met Gary back in the middle 70's in Orange County when he had his surveying business there. I had just started mine in Pennsylvania. We hit it off right away. Gary thought he was the best surveyor in town....and I thought I was the best! We laughed about that and swapped many survey stories over the next few years. I never told him but I was always impressed by his professionalism and desire to do every survey perfect - which is almost impossible. After he moved to NC we kind of lost...
