Not sure what to say?

My sincere condolences to the family. I was a student intern many, many years ago. I did copy stand work for Gary and some of his friends. My period. My find this memories of Gary was his wonderful sense of humor. He was a gentleman after work. He would walk me to the subway, so I always appreciated that over the years I´ve visited Crosby Street and looked up to the building. I even knocked on the door. Gary traveled a lot as I remembered, and I thought that he would just faint that I´ve gone...

I worked as an artist intern for Gary many many years ago. I did copy stand work for his collection of African masks. I learned a lot from Gary and thought about him often. I am now a married woman with two grown sons. I would have loved for them to have met Gary. Gary introduced me to Frank and other artist friends. He is missed. He was talented and funny. I never forgot him and I never will. Art and Photography - Rest in Peace

I dream of Garry every so often, and I'm so glad to encounter his passionate energy alive in my dreams. We all impart to others, become part of them, and Garry is still with me as with others.

Forgot to say, it was a gift for my 50th birthday.

I have a small lovely painting of a pear in an elaborate gold frame that Garry gave me, hanging in my writing room. It reminds me of his singular energy.

There is a photograph of Garry, Jeff Way and myself shaking hands together prior to giving a lecture years ago. It hangs in my studio and I see it every day. It is inspiring.

Sandy, seeing you and your own "cabinet of curiosities" recently, I could only think what a deep and rare adventure you both had. Sending you a hug. Nancy

Much sympathy Sandy. Love

Garry was my best friend in Kansas City and caused me to be on many of his adventures. He was always kind, funny, and supportive. He even came to my first one man exhibition in New York City. He was a lovely intense man who was right in the middle of the creation of art in the time of the creation of Soho and that art scene.. I miss him
