Mr. Garry Richard Rosborough, age 78 of McDonough, Georgia passed away June 15, 2014. He was born in Sumner, Illinois to the late Harry Wilford and Florence Edna Brownfield Rosborough. He was preceded in death by his identical twin, Harry and a brother, Woody. Garry served his country in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. He was employed by United Airlines for 25 years and retired after 25 years with Lance as a route man. He drove a school bus for Ola Elementary for six years. Garry enjoyed sports, the Atlanta Braves, Atlanta Falcons and Georgia Tech. In his early years he also coached ball and umpired. He was an avid Western movie fan. Survivors include his wife of 27 years, Joyce Rosborough of McDonough; daughters, Gala Rosborough, Gina Rosborough, Gwen (Wrede) Patrick all of Tampa, Florida; step son, Kevin Lambert; seven grandchildren and one great grandchild. Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, June 21, 2014 at 2:00 pm from the Chapel of Haisten Funeral Home. Pastor Barney Johnson will officiate. Friends may visit the family Friday from 6:00 – 8:00 pm at the funeral home. Contributions are asked to be made to Led by the Spirit Mission in Covington, Georgia in memory of Garry. Sorry to learn of your passing. We were classmates at Wells grade school, and then later at Clay City Community H.S. In high school, I recall when Harry and Garry played left and right guard on the basket ball team. When the game raced from one court to the other, it was hilarious to watch the opponents who hoped they were covering the correct player. Trevor Pearce played center. You three were a force to recon with in a competitive game.

We are so sorry to hear about Garry. I always enjoyed the chats he and I would have over the fence. My girls were just telling me about the flowers he would pick and bring to them while they were playing outside. Please know we are always available if you need anything... Praying.
