Garth was born on October 15, 1952 and passed away on Thursday, May 24, 2018. Garth was a resident of Indiana at the time of passing. There will be a graveside funeral service on Saturday, 26 March at 3:00 p.m., Clear Creek Cemetery, immediately followed by fellowship and refreshments at the Pollock home at 1413 E Elliston Drive, Bloomington. In lieu of flowers, if friends wish they might choose to make contributions to Inshindo Foundation in Zambia by making a check payable to Karen Pollock with "Inshindo Foundation" written in the memo line, and sending c/o Allen Funeral Home, 4155 S Old State Rd 37, Bloomington, IN 47401.

Dear Karen and family,
We send condolences on hearing of Garth's passing. Our family (of five) first met Garth in Potosi, Bolivia, on Good Friday in 1977. He and two other friends met us at the airport for a weekend visit in that city perched in the Andes Mountains -- at over 13,400 feet. Our plane was the last one in before the airport closed down for the Easter weekend.
We had an amazing time meeting the tarantulas that one of the other friends was studying in their house.
