Dr Tagge was my dad´s doctor for years and became my doctor when I got older. My 1st memory of him was when he came to our house in the middle of the night when my dad had his 1st heart attack. Years later, after my dad passed, he sat with me during one visit, and with tears starting to swell in his eyes, he told me one of his big regrets was not being able to convince my dad to have the open heart surgery he needed. Dr. Tagge was one of my doctors back in Chicago.. I was 14 years old. I was very ill in Mercy Hospital. He’s the one that diagnosed my illness and got me onto the road to recovery. I am now 77 years old and live in California. My mother was visiting from Chicago and had a heart problem. I found Dr. Tagge and took her to see him in the 70’s. Always wished I’d gone in with her to see him once more. Such a great man, so sorry he’s not here with his family any longer.

Dr. Tagge was my first mentor into the field of healthcare. I started as a file clerk and he encouraged me to continue my education. He helped me to learn the ins and outs of cardiology testing. I have been in the healthcare field ever since then, and that was about 40 years ago! He was a man of passion and character.
