Not sure what to say?

My tour of duty in the Netherlands, Maastricht, Tapijn Kaserne AFCENT (ARC) FWD was where I got t know and with Major Smith. He was such a great guy, man and officer. He loved playing softball. Those were some great days, weeks, months and years we spent in the Netherlands. We were a small American community so we all were like family. For the record I just want it to be known that I was proud to serve with and know Gary. It was years after 9-11 before I found out LTC Smith was at the...

My condolences to LTC Gary Smith´s family though it´s been years since that awful day at the Pentagon 911. Gary was Major Smith when we worked together in AFCENT the Netherlands. He was a great guy, outstanding officer whom I respected greatly as an officer and friend.

LTC (Ret) Gary F Smith was not only my father's supervisor, he was a friend to our family. The times he visited PR for Retiree Appreciation Day was always a time to welcome a friend and mentor.
We will never forget his commitment to the retirees...
His legacy will always be present, may he continue to rest in heavenly peace

As one of 16 volunteers, I volunteered to clean the grave markers/monuments of falling veterans and their family members. To start the ceremony we were given the list of those who were killed during the attacks on 9/11/01, and a pin-on badge with the inscription "Who Are...
