Not sure what to say?

Gary was my father, I'm the oldest of three and born on his 21st birthday. I don't know if that is why I've always felt comfortable talking to him whenever I needed some advice or just someone to talk with. He had a great ear for listening and a big heart. He never would judge a person. He had a
special place in his heart for his grandchildren, kids, family and friends. He would always remember special dates of important events. If was an anniversary, birthday or even when you bought...

Gary, will never be saint material, but he did leave a lasting impression on those who knew him. First impressions never did Gary justice.
Gary had the biggest heart I have ever known. He never put a value or price amount on anything he did or bought for anyone.
His laughter, jokes and all his telephone jiggles on birthday's and anniversaries's will be sadly missed by all.
The world lost a "VERY GOOD MAN" and I lost "A GREAT BROTHER AND FRIEND."

I am so sorry to the family for this loss. I have not seen Gary or his sister Marilyn since we all grew up together in the 1st ward of Bay City! Marilyn used to walk me to kindergarten!! I guess that was a few years ago! So I would like to send my thoughts and prayers to the whole family. with love, Ann Talaga
(Annie St. Laurent!)

After the Abernethy's moved to Linwood, I became their neighbor and a great friend to Heidi and Dawn(Gary's Daughters). Gary liked to stop by my family's shop next door, my parents and brother Dave will miss his visits. Our family sends our deepest sympathy to your family in the time of loss. Gary's laugh will be missed by alot of people.

Although we had never really known each other the many years we put in at SSG, I enjoyed talking and getting to know Abbey at Terry's retirement party last September. Only wish I had known Abbey at work. He would have been a great friend! Will miss you Buddy!
