Not sure what to say?

Judy and Family,

I'm so sorry to hear about Gary. He truly was one of my all time favorite patients, Despite feeling poorly, he kept up his sense of humor and continued to push himself to get well even when I know it must have been so hard.

Judy it was also such a pleasure to get to know you and your positive and loving attitude I know helped him in so many ways and made our job so much easier.

I was an art student of Gary’s from 1973-1976 at Hyak Junior High School. He was one of my very favorite teachers growing up! He had great passion for art that he past onto me as well as many of his other students. Thirty-three years later I still have the passion for art that he instilled in me. Today, I work in clay as a ceramics artist. His life was far reaching. Thank you Gary. My heart goes out to Gary's family and many friends.

Regards,

Steve Mahler

Judy, I learned of Garys passing through one of the other nurses who read the obituaries. I had thought about him the day before and felt quilty about not visiting as I said I might do. He was a much loved patient of ours and we all wished him to recover but quess it was not meant to be. I admired your constant positive attitude at least in front of Gary. You were an inspiration to us all and an amazing support to Gary all those months at the hospital and beyond. There are many people...

I had the privilege of having Gary Adrian as a teacher at Hyak Jr. High in Bellevue, WA from 1972-75. Mr. Adrian was my all-time favorite teacher and was also a friend. He was funny and creative and we had lots of laughs in the art room in those days. In our family, my brother Blane was the "jock" and I know Bruce Brown was his favorite teacher and coach back at Hyak. Me being more of the art & music kid, I gravitated to the art room and loved hanging out with Mr. Adrian, who championed my...

We had the privledge of knowing Gary through basketball - Gary coached our daughter Desiree and always gave her and the other girls encouragement, knowledge and fun for the game. In our lifetime few people pass that really make a difference - thank you Gary for making a difference. You will be missed by all that knew you - but what a legacy you leave behind - We should all be so fortunate. God bless you, and your family.

Gary was my basketball coach when I played in the JBA select program. He was a wonderful coach, teacher, motivator and friend to all of his players. Looking back on that time of my life now, I see the impact that my coaches and teachers including Gary had on my life. To have someone really believe in you at that age was pretty special.

My deepest sympathies go out to all of his family and friends.

I had the privelege of working with Gary @ Beaver Lake Middle School, he did a long term sub job in the 2000-2001 school year. My middle son also had the privilege to have him for a P.E./Health teacher that year. I don't think a day went by w/o my son saying something about Mr. Adrian, either what he said or what he was teaching them. My son is in his second year in college and still remembers Mr. Adrian from the 8th grade. I contined to work with Gary with his Bestline business, talked...

To the entire Adrian Family -

Gary was a great teacher and an even better friend. We taught together, shared our lives and families and laughed and smiled every day we worked together. We had FUN! Most of all he had a deep impact on my teaching style and beliefs.

Teaching with Gary at Islander Middle School on Mercer Island, sharing lunch, making a difference with students and talking about his family and friends is something that I miss everyday.
