We will miss you very much Grandpa. We love you. Love your Oklahoma family.

Lois and family,
We just want to express our sympathy at Gary's passing. Our family's thoughts and prayers are with you all. We certainly have many great memories of raising our young families in Pleasant View together. Our prayers will continue to be with you,

My husband and I would like to add our condolances to the many others listed here to the family of Gary Alverson. I attended school with Gary and we graduated in the same class. I had relatives from Stockton, so we would always compare notes about the town together. I correscponded with Gary last year following our class reunion and we were reminded of our high school days and what fun times we had. My husband and I wish all of his family the Lord's blessings to each of you. My hopes are...

To the Alverson family, you have our deepest sympathies, Renae and I went to high school with Gary and graduated with him in 1964. He was at our last class reunion in August, and it was great to visit with him and see him again.

To the family of Gary Alverson,(Coach Alverson). Our deepest sympathy from my family to yours. I feel as if I have lost a coach, a mentor and most importantly a true friend. With Coach Alverson it wasn't only about the game, it was about the lessons that life brings each and every day. Yes we all know what a fierce competitor Gary was and I thank him for that each and every day because that is what made him such a great coach. With his competitive spirit he still maintained a gentle and kind...

Tom and I express our deepest sympathy and condolences to you, Lois and your wonderful family. We are so grateful to have had the privilege of knowing each of you.

We are especially grateful that our sons, Jim, Greg, Ryan and Tommy had the choice experience of playing basketball under Coach Alverson. He was a wonderful example of hard work, dedication, good sportsmanship and his teaching of these qualities have been invaluable to our sons.

Thank you for so many, many...

Congratulations Coach Alverson on a wonderful coaching career and finally bringing that state championship trophy to Tooele High in 2005. My sincere condolences go out to the entire Alverson family. Many thanks to you with all the extra time and effort you spent with me in the summer working on my basketball skills. It was truly an honor and privelege to have known you.

Thank you and God Bless.

My thoughts and prayers are with you in your time of grief. May your memories bring you comfort.

Too often people are remembered and honored only after they pass away. I was so grateful to be able to be a part of and to have Coach “A” there for the touching tribute given for him being the wonderful person he was and always will be remembered for. He has touched so many lives. I am so thankful for the short time that my family had to know and love Gary, through his coaching and kindness shown, especially to my son, Colton Hogan. He will always be a great example and friend to his team...
