Gary, this is Damonike, your co worker.... 12 years later I still think about you every year, throughout the year... I´ll never forget that day... I´ll never forget you telling me to calm down. Everything will be ok. And then... I wish there was something more I could have done. I´m so sorry Gary!! You died fearless.. God wanted and needed you. You were to special to be here... you will always be my guardian Angel, you´ll forever be in my heart... love and miss you forever

Gary was a former co-worker of mines. He always had a smile on his face. I would called him big baby. He was such a wonderful person. RIP my friend you will be truly missed.

I live near where this tragedy occurred. I never knew Gary, but I do know that people like him are a growing rarity. Gary's courage will always be remembered and cherished. May the spirit of his sacrifice never die.

How do you say thank you to a man that gave his life for your sister? My family is so grateful for and humbled by Gary's courage and selflessness. My heart hurts for what his family is going through. If his death was any indication of his life, they're without an amazing father, brother, son, uncle... His heroism and courage will never be forgotten or taken for granted.
