Not sure what to say?

So sorry to learn about Gary many months after, may his memory continue to be a blessing for all who knew him. As a distant cousin, reading here about him I am sending his family comfort and a wish for closer connections.

My deepest condolences to the Asher family. I know Gary since 1960 from Asher bungalow colony where we spent many great summers and times together .Gary could hit softball a mile(or so it seemed back then) I reconnected with Gary as a lawyer And I know him to be a warm, funny ,smart ,caring person with a strong sense of integrity.Gary will be missed.Rest in peace,my friend.

Gary and I were the best of friends during high school and college. We lost touch over the years, no falling out.....just life. I am truly saddened to learn of his passing.

Gary was a fine attorney and a true gentleman. I am honored to have been his friend. My deepest condolences to his family

I am so sorry to hear of Gary's passing. I met Gary as an adversary at law and what is important to know is that, despite that we were on opposite sides, there are few people that I have met as a lawyer that I have liked better. Gary simply had a way about him of making everyone feel ok about themselves. Please allow me to repeat and reiterate what others have said - Gary was a Mensch, period. It was always a pleasure to see Gary, to catch up on stuff. I know he loved Long Beach Island...

I knew Gary for 20 years. He and I were adversaries on many cases and Gary was one of the first defense lawyers I met when I first started practicing. Whenever I had a case with Gary I knew two things: 1) we would have more than a few laughs; and 2) it would all work out; and it always did. I will genuinely miss him, his spirit and his humble style. A consummate gentleman and professional, they don't make them like him anymore. My sincere condolences to his colleagues, friends, family and...

I met Gary when I was just 13 (and he was 14). Over the years we fell in and out of touch but I always knew I could count on him as a dear friend. We had many good times and he was so supportive whenever I needed a good listener and even when he had his own difficulties, he was able to laugh and brighten everyone's day. Gary will be greatly missed.

Gary was an absolute exceptional attorney, and an even more exceptional person. I thoroughly enjoyed working with him as a claims representative at The Hartford in the years he was with our defense counsel. I always enjoyed talking about music with Gary as well, as he was a big rock n roll expert. Gary will be sorely missed. My thoughts and prayers to his family.

I join with so many others who knew Gary in offering my deepest condolences to his family. I hope that you find comfort in knowing that Gary has touched the lives and hearts of so many. I have worked with Gary over the past 13 years at The Hartford and enjoyed handling many cases together. I always knew things would be okay when Gary was involved. I will miss having him in my life and again wish his family comfort, peace and love during this time of sorrow.
