Gary and his brother were good friends. I taught Gary chess. One year, we would play multiple games every day and he lost every games to the point the losing streak was over 80 games. However, Gary never gave up. I would teach him and he even went to the library and got books on playing. I wouldn't lose on purpose because that not teaching him.
