VFW Post 3243 and Ladies Auxiliary (Fenton, Michigan) have made a Donation in Memory of Gary Barcume to the Great Lakes National Cemetery (Holly) Advisory Council.

Such donations are used to procure chairs, shade canopies and similiar items to provide for the comfort of senior citizens and handicapped indiviuals attending Memorial Day and Veteran's Day service at the cemetery.

My thoughts and prayers are with you in your time of grief. May your memories bring you comfort.

Gary and I were friends in the Marines -- Okinawa, 1960. He was a good mate with a great sense of humor -- a good companion. I'm only sorry that I didn't think to look him up until now, though I've often thought back on those times and Gary's friendship was a pleasant memory. Unfortunately we didn't keep in touch afterward and I emigrated to New Zealand in 1965.
My sincere condolences to the family. Jack Pritchard

Daddy,
Where Do I begin? I miss you so much I can't stand to breath. You are my best friend and my rock!! I called you when ever anything went wrong and you allways had a way to make it right. Im not sure how I can do anything with out you. I do however know what you wanted inLife for me and that I can do! You taught me how to hunt, fish, camp, pull boats in and out and winterise them, You showed me how to enjoy life and not get so freaked out about the little stuff, You tuned me in...

Uncle Gary was my favorite Uncle. I fondly remember my time spent with him, and cousins Tanya, and Gary Jr. during family gatherings at Grandma Dolan's house, and while staying out the lake, where Uncle Gary would take us water skiing and fishing. He had such a friendly and fun spirit.
My deepest sympathies to Tanya, Gary Jr., Melissa, Alicia and all others you knew and loved my Uncle Gary.

Gary and his family played a big big part in my growing up years.I remember my summers at the campground visiting the island with Gary and his family durring pig roast and other events.I mostly remember him water ski bare footed. That was so awsome.May your life with our lord be everything we heard it would be.

Uncle Gary was my favorite uncle. I have many fond memories of Uncle Gary over the years, especially the times spent on the island during many visits to Flint during my childhood. I will always remember Uncle Gary for his fun loving spirit. My most sincere condolences to Tanya, Gary Jr., Melissa, Alicia and Gary's other relatives and many friends. RIP Uncle Gary.

I am so sorry to hear the sad news about Gary. My deepest sympathy to his family. He is by far the nicest man. I will never forget the great times on the island and when he helped me catch my master angler carp. My thoughts are with you. Kathy (Chabala) Truba
