Gary taught me Tai Chi in 1971. I taught Tai Chi at the U of U college of fine arts for 44 years, teaching over 10,000 students. Quite the legacy from a single act of kindness. Love U man thanks for the time you freely gave. William Parkinson (Pace).

I don't think I ever saw Gary frown. My first job with 1/19th SGF(A) was with Gary at the Bn PAC. He was always smiling but was a serious admin guy who paid attention to detail. I think he was trying to teach me to relax a little, it sunk in more than you know Gary. Miss you and see you on the other side.

Gary was an outstanding Soldier and a true friend. He never hesitated in helping his fellow soldiers, regardless of rank, position or status. He was a true professional in every sense of the word. He will be sorely missed by his comrades, friends, fellow soldiers. Rest in peace, Gary.
