Not sure what to say?

I worked closely with Gary in the development and testing of a vortex generator that was later used to test the hypothesis that source of planet wide dust storms on Mars began with Mars equivalent of Earth dust devils. This hypothesis was borne out by testing the generator in a NASA vacuum chamber and later images by Mars orbiters. Gary was committed to excellence in his work for Arizona State University. He was a great friend for life.

It was always a pleasure to work with Gary at Memory Cafe. He was so knowledgeable in so many ways and was always willing to share. Miss you already, Susie Peck

Gary was an adventurer. He routinely drove across the United States to Ohio, which was where he originally lived. But most of all, he was a dare devil. I remember when he took the ride at the top of the Stratosphere in Las Vegas. There is no way you would ever get me on that one. Gary was a hard worker and loved his job at the wind tunnel at ASU. Gary was a great friend!

Thank you to everyone who shared a fond memory of my dad, he truly loved people and loved life. Spending time with others, laughing, teaching, and making people laugh was important to him. He is missed.

I met sweet Gary 4 and 1/2 years ago at Memory Cafe. His enthusiasm and energy were so enjoyable. I was always so pleased to see how he and his wife Shirley enjoyed each other's company. I will miss him at our group activities.

Gary and I worked closely together with wind tunnel experiments through Ron Greeley at ASU for around 8 years. All the long hours were made shorter with all the great stories and fun times we had doing science together. He taught me so much and he will be missed! I often think fondly of all the time we spent taking care of and using the wind tunnel laboratory. After retirement, he'd check in with me at the wind tunnel when he had the chance. It was always a pleasure to chat with him....

Gary and I meet when I came to work for Ron Greeley at ASU. He is by far one of the friendliest people I ever had the pleasure to meet and I will never forget his kindness while welcoming me into the group. He shared so many stories with me and we we spent a lot of time laughing together. After his retirement he made it a point to keep in touch as long as he could. Lots of love to his family.

I remember dancing with Gary at Memory Cafe. He loved it!

Gary and I worked together for more than two years at the wind tunnel at ASU. This was about 20 years ago. We became good friends and shared a lot of stories. The last time I saw Gary was at Ron Greeley's funeral, where we reminisced about old times. Gary was a fine gentleman and a wonderful husband to Shirley. May the Lord be with you Gary!
