Jacques, Mignon, Amelie Ms. Benoit - so sorry to hear of Gary's passing and that I was not able to personally pay my respects. My family and I have such fond memories of coaching with Gary and Adam playing for him! He was a great mentor to his players and had such a great way of loosening them up with his incredible sense of humor. He had such a unique way of getting the most out of his players while not being confrontational or aggressive. I especially enjoyed the picture of he, Charle and I coaching in our All Star uniforms. To this day my family kids me about looking like Tommy Lasorda "before". He will be sorely missed! - C.J. Jones

So sorry to hear of Mr. Gary's passing. I had the joy of playing for Mr. Gary on a 12 year All Star team with Jacque. He did what few coaches are able to do and that's make youth sports truly fun. I will always remember that summer and Coach Gary. Prayers for you all.

I received the news of Gary's death last night. Not many come along in your life that will steal your heart but Gary did that to mine many years ago, as far back as St. Rita. I always kept up with him during his ups and downs and I prayed for him faithfully and enjoyed our talks after 9:30 am Mass. I recently saw him at Dollar General and he didn't look good to me, yet he hid behind his sense of humor that he was now getting old and walking with a cane. I told him that I missed seeing him at Mass and to come back to church, God doesn't care if you walk with a cane or not. And then this news. I am so grateful to the Lord for putting Gary in my path that day. He was a special man with a sincere and gentle way about him. I prayed for him and now, with the communion of saints in heaven, I will ask him to pray for me. Take the Lord's hand Gary, and have Him guide you into the Kingdom of God. My sincere and heartfelt sympathy to his mother, Miss Joan, to all his brothers and sisters, to his wife and children and grandchildren. Gary was very proud of his children and talked of you often. God's peace be with all of you.
