Gary Blackburn passed away. The obituary was featured in The Gazette on March 15, 2008.
I was at the memorial for Gary at the Mission in Ottawa and was quite overwrought in my grief.I knew Gary when we were just kids and became quite close in Ottawa.He was always generous with his time and at a moments notice would come to speak to my students of his choices and his life.He never knew how many kids he touched in my class.He is missed.

Gary was my stepfather for a very long time, I was only seven when he and my mom started dating. I have lots of good memories of him. I send my love and condolences to his family and loved ones, Know that he was loved very much.
