Gary Rodney Broadwater Sr., born on September 5, 1944 in Lonaconing, Maryland, passed away at age 74 on May 16, 2019 in his Pasadena, Maryland home. Forever remembered and survived by beloved wife Andrea, daughter Donna (Dan), son Gary (Charlotte), and four grandchildren, David, Austin, Georgia and Noah. Preceded in death by his father Melvin, mother Velma and two brothers, Wayne and Vaughn.
Gary served in the Marine Corps from 1963 to 1969 and was a Master Mechanic for 30 years before retiring. He played softball in high school and into adult life, enjoyed weekends singing country music in a band with friends in local Moose lodges and American Legions, bowling, fishing, golfing, and later in life, traveling the southernmost eastern states in the RV with Andrea and the dachshunds, Turner, Ernie and Chloe.
Interment services will be held at Cheltenham Veterns Cemetery on Friday, May 31st at 11:00 A.M. The family requests that donations in lieu of flowers be made to Hospice of the Chesapeake, 90 Ritchie Highway, Pasadena, MD 21122 or online at www.hospicechesapeake.org/giving/donate-now.

Gary was a great guy and friend. Work with him for many years. Even saw him and his band. They were pretty damn good. He will be missed.

We had a special relationship...my sisters husband, but my good friend. I will miss you old man and loved that you always called me sis.

Gary was also a wonderful Brother-In-Law and I'm grateful to have known him.....sending much love to my sister, nieces & nephews!!
