Gary Lee Buechler, 50, Lincoln, ND, died April 10, 2011 at his residence. Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday, April 15, 2011 at Sts. Peter & Paul Catholic Church, Strasburg, ND with Rev. Paul Eberle and Rev. Albert Leary Officiating. Visitation will be 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Thursday at Myers Funeral Home, Linton, with a prayer service there at 7:00 p.m. Gary was born October 11, 1960 in Linton, ND. He was the third and youngest son of Carl and Irene (Masset) Buechler. He attended Strasburg Public School and graduated in 1978. He was active in all sports in high school and excelled in basketball and football. After graduation his first job was at the Strasburg Lumber Yard. He later moved to Bismarck and started working at Mandan Tire. A few years later he went to work for Atlas, Inc. where he remained for 25 years driving cement truck. For the last five years he worked for a private construction company as a foreman. Gary made his home in Lincoln and remained there until the time of his death. He was always a hard worker and very organized. Gary enjoyed the outdoors, especially camping, fishing, and was an avid softball player until knee injuries prevented him from participating. Gary is survived by his mother: Irene Buechler, Strasburg; two brothers and sisters-in-law: Carl and Gayla Buechler and Jim and Mary Buechler, all of Bismarck, ND; six nieces and nephews: Ryley, Trisha, Carlie, Jessica, Brandon and Jordan, all of Bismarck. He is also survived by his very special pet, CHance. He was preceded in death by his father, Carl Buechler, Sr. and his first dog, Cookie.

Not sure what to say?

Weber and Slim (Carl and Jim) and family, Was so sorry to hear about Gary - I have nothing but good memories of him from my softball days of playing with the Buechler boys on the Wentz Cars/A & G Auto Mart teams. I had only seen Gary a couple of times since Margo and I moved to Minot but he still made me smile. We'll be thinking of you and your families. Bruce and Margo Haskins Minot, ND
