Not sure what to say?

I used to listen to Gary B. on the local radio station in Mt. Pleasant while I was growing up in the late 60s and all the 70s. Gary used to go to the same church I and my Grandparents and parents went too. The old Zion Lutheran Church in Mt. Pleasant, MI. I was an acolyte and eventually an Usher in the church. However, our Church had steps inside the church to get up to where the actual church was. No ramp inside. I helped Gary B. up the steps into the church many times during that time...

dear Patty
Gene and I were very surprised to receive news of your loss. Gary was a fine person and one Gene was very proud of and happy he was able to do great work with broadcasting. We send our deepest sympathy to you and your family. Gene and Dorie Umlor

I always enjoyed our the visits of Sue and I to Mt. Pleasant and our visits with Gary and Patty. Gary was a good practical joker. We would often hide Halloween candy corn into each others suitcases and cars as a joke to find at a later date and then think about how long has that candy been there. We would never eat it.

Gary your humor will be missed. There were many good meals together also and Gary's table prayers were some of the best.

Sincerely,
Don Schwartz

Dear Patty:
My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family in the loss of Gary.

He was a very special man, and I admired him greatly.

I had the joy to work in the ministry at WPRJ under the loving management of Gary B for five years. My two favorite times of the year were Praise Raiser and Celebration because that was when one truly saw Gary and Patty Jo's love for people and to passionately bring light into a dark world. With his desire and passion to share Christ as often as he could, I am sure he has been told "Well done my good and faithful servant" as he ran into the arms of God when he was called home.

I worked with Gary at WCEN in 1988-89. He was a very nice man and a mentor. Sorry to hear of his loss, but very pleased to read about his great life and legacy.

Thank you .Gary for years of friendship and a true a Godly Mentor .I know you are Dansing and Praising God . Blessings Brother Kirk , Becky and Van Horn Family .we will Miss you dearly and can't wait to celebrate with you at the Lords table. Amen

Gary was a great encouragement to me. He was one of the first to give an opportunity to announce. It was a joy to work with him at WPRJ.He was always an encouragement, optimism, and initiative.
