Not sure what to say?

Hi, my name is Richard Scoppetto and I was a young teacher in physical education, and Mr. Burgard was our principal .,as was said, Mr. Burgard was very fair and was always interacting with the teachers and students. I am still teaching and will always remember The support he gave to me

I have fond memories of Mr. Burgard. He was my principal at WHS and was very fair, understanding and respectful to me during my time at high school. He also worked with my dad (WPD Chief of police) on certain issues that affected the community. RIP sir.

To the family of Mr. Burgard: On behalf of the entire Huffman family, please accept our deepest condolences on Mr. Burgard's passing. We just learned of this news. As you well know, our mom was Mr. Burgard's secretary for the years he spent as principal at Wethersfield High School. They made a great team and she thoroughly enjoyed working with him over the years. Mr. Burgard was a kind and caring principal and our mom had a deep respect for him. Those were undoubtedly the most rewarding...

Mr. Burgard was the best principle I ever had. Alway had his door open to us student and did a fantastic job. Rest In Peace. Our prayers are with the family. Rev Salvatore Mancini class of 1974

Your Dad was my principal at WHS. He was such a nice man. Sending prayers to your family

I am sad to read of Mr. Burgard's passing. It sounds like he had a wonderful life and has left many to cherish him. His wife was my French teacher at HHS, even before becoming Mrs. Burgard. I graduated in 1965 and went on to study amd teach French, largely because of her. That beautiful couple marrying still brings a smile to those high school memories. I wish you all God's peace, Patricia (Listro) Lucan
