Not sure what to say?

May your hearts soon be filled with wonderful memories of joyful times together as you celebrate a life well lived. Gary's good cheer and military mind provided hours and years of delightful conversation--every Monday afternoon for his weekly haircut. The world is a better place for his having been in it. Grateful to have known Gary. Our deepest sympathy go out to Linda and his other survivors.

Mrs. Bushell,
I had the pleasure to get to know Gary at the state legislature and through transportation advocacy group, TAoT. Gary always had a smile and a kind word everyone, especially newcomers. He was funny and quick witted and a friend to all who knew him. I always enjoyed visiting with him, and considered him one of the most knowledgeable transportation experts and lobbyists at the capitol. We will remember him fondly. He will be missed May God bless you and your family in this...

Rest in Peace Sweet man, Comforcare , Austin

Our most sincere condolences to the Bushell family and now he sits at the right hand of the Lord!

I met Gary once in the company of our dear friend and neighbor, Meta. Please accept my sincere condolences.

Gary and I were coworkers in the Senate office of U.S. Senator lloyd Bentsen, jr. Later I would run into Gary in Corpus Christi, TX while he was working on his many economic development projects. The latest memory I had of Gary was when I saw him on one of his jogs down Ocean Dr. He was a fine person and knowing him enriched my life.

The Austin High class of 1960 will miss Gary. We are sorry to learn of his passing. Kay

I will always remember Gary's tremendous and successful efforts to negotiate and acquire an additional water source (from Lake Texana) for the City of Corpus Christi. He was a tremendous person who always worked hard to make the community a better place to live. I will miss him.

Gary, We will be forever grateful for your work with Landing Force 16 and your support for the USS Lexington Museum! Rest In Peace.
