Not sure what to say?

Dear Nan and Family,

We are so sorry to hear of Gary's passing. He was such a kind & generous person. I ran into him a few months after we had moved. We talked and "caught up" for quite a while. His smile and laughter will always be remembered, just like this beautiful picture of him. Please let us know if there's anything you need. Love and prayers to you and your family.

Gary will be missed by his countless friends at the Leon County Courthouse where he served as a mediator. He was a respected and generous person. His generosity and thoughtfulness was evident in his care packages of books and magazines to members of the armed forces. His life improved the lives of so many in our community and his military service contributed to the greatness of our country.

Can't believe our loving neighbor & friend is gone. Gary was a gentle giant among men, so humble about all the great things he accomplished. He was greatly admired by our family, especially our sons - they only had love, honor and respect for him. We were truly blessed to have known him. We will miss seeing him walk Duke & Maybell.

Nan, we are praying for you - your loss is great.

Love, the Lavine Family (Kirk, Tammy, Uramis, Urias & Uziel)
