Not sure what to say?

Mr. Carman is one of the most remembered teachers I have ever had. Thomas Edison - 6th grade ...I will never forget the lessons he taught us and because of him, I learned that the friends you make in elementary school will be your forever friends. Heaven is lucky to have you Mr. Carman - you will be sorely missed.

So many fond memories of Mr. Carman. So sad to hear of his passing. My thoughts and prayers are with the family.

Gary and I both taught 6th grade for six years at Thomas Edison in the beginning of our teaching careers, and we played softball together for a good number of years. Yes, he was an excellent athlete, coach, friend, and an unforgettable teacher. Wherever he was he "held court." I admired that quality of his most of the time. He's probably having a catch in Heaven with St. Peter right now. He will be missed by many, myself included. My best thoughts are with his family.

Heaven gained another angel Gary was a great man I am very blessed to have gotten to know him rest in peace

In 1976, 6th grade, Thomas Edison Elementary, I met my favorite teacher of all time. Funny, quirky, thoughtful, helpful and caring. RIP Gary Carman, you will most certainly be missed.

Sincerest sympathies to his entire family.

Gary and I were childhood friends. He had his own key and bed at my house. He was the brother I never had. We would do his paper route every day so we could bike up to the church hall in Fayetteville to play basketball. There are so many memories and stories. Gary was special and will always be remembered. Thoughts and prayers to the family.

My heart is sad to hear of Gary's passing. I had the pleasure of having him in my life at West Side Manor...he always made my day, helped all the time with the yard and feeding the birds. He had trouble with words but we always seemed to get by that. He always had a smile and showed little frustration even though he could have. Such a sweet sweet man. My thoughts go out to the family, whom were so dedicated to their dad. RIP gary...you will be missed xoxo

I had Mr Carmen for sixth grade at Thomas Edison. So many fond memories of him. He will be sorely missed. Rest in peace Gary.

This is a sad day. Gary was such a great man. So sorry to hear of his passing. Thoughts and prayers are with you.
