I have known Gary for 55 years and used to attend his jazz classes when he lived in Hampstead. My husband I met up with Gary and Thecla three times while on cruises around the Caribbean. I last saw him in St. Lucia on Christmas Day 2013 when we met while our ship was docked in Rodney Bay. My husband and I then had lunch with Gary and Thecla and their kids up at their lovely old house.
