Not sure what to say?

I remember so many years ago Gary being on the Johnny Carson show. Johnny asked him what kind of a town Zion was. He talked about the Candy Factory. Johnny said, "Wow sounds like a happening palce." For what it 's worth to Gary's parents, he is at peace now. We will always remember him for the loving person he was. We all he suffered in later years. May the Angels and God's love embrace him. Blessings to the entire family.

Willie and Sue... I am sending you both BIG HUGS!! "Tight Hugs"... My heart just aches for you both... I wish I could take the pain away from you both... I remember way back in time when you came into the A&P Store when Gary was just starting out... I am a witness of all the time you both put into this young man... I must tell you that you both brought love and joy to me... My heart aches with you... I for one KNOW how much you both have done for Gary and with Gary and the Love you both have...

You're in my prayers. May God give you the strength to deal with the loss of your son.

I remember my Mom, Myrtle Potter, once saw him at the Zion K-mart back in the days when they had the "blue light" specials (that's what I always called my lovely ex-wife, Kimberly, because I met her there) and Mom said she had to bend down and give him a kiss on the cheek because she thought Gary was so adorable. We all loved his show. Larry

Gary is probably the biggest name to come out of Lake County since Jack Benny. I have followed his career for the last 30+ years and was very sorry to hear that he passed away at such a relatively young age. Thanks for all the laughs Gary and may you RIP....

God bless your family at this time for the loss of Gary. He will always remain in our hearts through all the laughter he gave us. Whatcho talking bout, Willis, we all still say today. He was loved and be truly missed

Sue & Willie, We are just so sorry about your loss. Gary was a wonderful child growing up here and when he modeled at the Belvidere Mall with my daughter. I pray that he is at peace now and that some day you can find a peace of your own. If you would like I'd love to talk to you some time. My prayers are with you. Kay, Amy & Beth

I grew up on the same block as Gary, in Zion, IL
