Not sure what to say?

My dearest sister Chris, and nieces, Sarah, Elizabeth, Caitlin and nephew Matthew,

The world is a better place because of your husband and Dad, he has such a wonderful family and I know he will be watching over you all and cheering you on as you all grow and continue to do great things. The McDermott family has been so fortunate to have such wonderful brothers and sisters in law and we will deeply miss that incredible smile of Gary's.
We will all be there for you Chris and...

Our family lived in the same neighborhood with the Crandall's, all attending Our Lady of Lourdes School together. I have many great memories of Gary and our pick-up basketball games in his back yard that went until dark many nights during the summer months. It was great fun and Gary was always providing some laughs with his antics. I'm very sorry to hear of Gary's untimely passing and offer my sincerest sympathies to his family.

To all of Gary's family,
We are so deeply sorry for your loss. You will remain in our thoughts and prayers.
Joyce and Paul Hagan (Colleen Crandall's parents)

To Jim and all of the Crandall Family,
Our deepest sympathy and prayers are with all of you. We are grateful that you were able to spend time with Gary and his family, as I'm sure they needed you there. Gary will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.

Chris-
I am sorry that I wasn't in a position to express my most sincere condolences in person as I was out of town. I remember Gary from Grammar school at OLLS and Elmwood Park and his one year at Niagara very fondly, his smile and humor still makes me laugh. Although I haven't seen him in a few years I'm sure that he is at peace.

Dear Chris and Family,
We were so sad to read about Gary and are deeply sorry for your loss. Gary was a great and funny guy who brightened everyone's life with his humor. Our thoughts and prayers are with you.
Kevin and Elvera Young

Chris, our thoughts and prayers are with you and your faimly.Heaven just became a funnier place.

I was shocked and saddened on hearing of Garys' passing. He was a tremendous guy, who was certainly one of a kind. He will be greatly missed by all. Chris you and your family will be in my thoughts and prayers.

I moved from the east side of Syracuse to the west in 1963 and ended up at Our Lady of Lourdes Grammar School where Gary and I became fast friends. He was the funniest guy I ever met, loved life and had a sense of adventure that was second to none. I don't think I ever met anyone who didn't like the guy and yes, he was always there for those he called family or friend---and both of those categories were enormous. My deepest sympathy to all who have loved and will miss this man. His spirit has...
