Gary Crist

I knew Gary when he and I were faculty at Urbana College. He was an intelligent and gracious man who loved and honored his wife, Sarah. When I saw him at a reunion two years ago, I was baffled that he was incoherent, something I never expected. He tried over and over to talk to me about Sarah and his sons. I am so, so sorry to learn of Gary´s passing. I was fortunate to be among his students when he taught at Urbana College and he was an outstanding educator. He and Sarah were both generous with their time, their home and hospitality. A favorite memory is of our class in Shakespeare traveling to Stratford Canada to see performances, something I have continued to do over the years. Condolences to all.
