Not sure what to say?

Although Gary made Brevard his base of operations, his interest in Volusia and his contributions to it and to Embry Riddle and other organizations continued and have left a indelible mark. His commentaries on development and politics, pithy and pointed, will be quoted (and sometimes followed) far into the future. He will be missed and our thoughts and prayers are with him, Else and all the family.

Else, when you and Gary came into our lives it didn't take us long to realize that we were truly blessed. The kindness that we received from you and Gary is something that will stay with us forever.
Gary was a very warm and genuinely nice man. I will miss his unique sense of humor and the encouragement he gave us when we were going through the process of adopting our children.
I am so sorry for your loss and you will always be in our prayers.

Else and Family,

Gary was one of those rarest of individuals who never met a stranger and genuinely cared for the people around him. He was witty and funny and always ready to share some of his stories. Gary touched all of our lives in a very special way and he will be greatly missed. Please accept my warmest sympathies.

Else and Family: We were so sorry to hear of Gary's passing. I know that there will be a tremendous void in your life. We will always remember the fun we had when you came to Hannibal. I can still see Gary setting in the Dining Room telling his stories that were so funny. He had a way of making everyone feel so comfortable. May the Lord surround you with his love through your friends and family. You are blessed to have such a wonderful family and we are grateful for having your son as...

We only knew Gary as "in-laws" but were always charmed by him and his essential goodness and loving heart. We will miss him and send our condolences to Else and the family.
Sincerely,

Gary was a wonderful and genuine person. I was blessed to have our paths cross. He had a special way about him. Everyone he met became his friend. It's hard to believe he's gone. My deepest sympathy to all of his family who he so dearly loved. He will be greatly missed.

Gary was someone who truly cared about the people who surrounded him and who truly knew what it meant to be generous. I will miss him and his "isms" very much.
