Not sure what to say?

He was my best teacher and one of the smartest people i ever had the pleasure of meeting. The world is a little dumber with him gone.

Family, Please know how much we loved our "Doc Deuel". He was my science teacher at Centreville High School and was so appreciated. I could not attend today but wanted you to know how much I wish I could have. You have been lifted before our heavenly Father for comfort and support. As my dad says, "He was one of the good guys!" We thought so highly of him and are thankful for his teaching and influence during those years. I know he will be dearly missed by you all. Blessings, Cheryl...

Having met Gary for only a short couple of years he made me feel like we were life long friends. I wish I had know him longer as he was strong engaging person with a strong will who loved life. Condolences to Martha, family and friends.

Uncle Gary's passion for life is already missed. He lives a fascinating and full life. We always had a lot great and vigorous conversations about farming, travel and other topics. It was a blessing to have him in my life.

Since the Centreville community heard of Doc Deuel's passing, Facebook has been overrun with memories and stories of this amazing teacher. He made it look easy, but he was truly a gifted educator that had an impact on this community for generations. Centreville Schools was a better place for having Doc Deuel here. Our family has 3 generations of Doc Deuel alumni and he is talked about often and dearly missed. Thank you to his friends and family for sharing him with our community. He...

Doc was a one of a kind teacher. He will be missed. I was so happy to have seen him in the last several years walking the track at the Bronson Athletic Club. I was able to catch up and found we had some mutual friends. His students loved him and he will be missed. I'm sorry I will miss his service. Condolences to his family!

Mr Deuel was a teacher of mine in HS in the 70´s. I can honestly say I learned more from him than anyone. He had a gift of teaching and even though I didn´t care for science - he made me learn without me hating it. I gave fond memories of him! Condolences for those left behind.

Condolences to the family.

My very favorite high school teacher. Thoughtful, caring and fun. He will be missed by so many. Praying for his loved ones. RIP, Doc.
