Not sure what to say?

Dear Elise and Donahue Family,
I was so saddened when I heard about Gary. I met Gary while working for Elise and liked him immediately. He had the nicest personality and had a great sense of humor. He will be missed.

To everyone in Gary's family I send my deepest sympathy.
I and many others in the Appleton, Wisconsin area were fortunate to share many experiences with "Big Don" from elementary school through high school and I will always remember Gary as one who brought out the competitive edge in everyone around him through his love of sports (including playing marbles at Huntley School).
While there is sorrow of his passing, the memories of Gary are certainly fond.

Dear Bob, Nancy, Kevin, Gail, Sally and Elise,

I was heartbroken to hear of my best childhood friend's death. Gary and I shared so many good times together growing up. We spent countless hours together as kids playing games and sports. Gary was a great athlete and a best friend. Kathy and I were honored to have Gary as part of our wedding party in 1986. My children were fortunate to meet Gary and share a game of backyard baseball when he visited us in Ohio a few years ago. I...

Dear Elise and Donahue Family,

While I never met Gary, through my friendship with Elise I felt I knew him well. My thoughts and condolences are with you and your family.

Dave Zanzig and Gary after a day of golf in Wisconsin 7/6/04

I was extremely saddened to hear of Gary's passing. He was an outstanding person with incredible depth of character. I cherish my times spent with Gary over the years from our youth in Appleton to the occasional contact more recently. I loved his laugh, his sense of humor, his sensitivity, and just who "Big Don" was to so many of us. To me, "Big Don" referred to how big his heart was when it came to friends and loved ones. It doesn't seem right or fair that Gary is gone. The world seems...

Dear Donahue Family and Elise,

Our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. Gary will be deeply missed, everyone that knew him loved him.

Elise, Bob and Nancy: I am very sorry and saddened to hear of Gary's death. Although the number of times Gary and I got together were few, they were always event filled and always memorable. Skiing in Tahoe, fishing in Minnesota, driving around aimlessly looking for "suitable" accomodations, or just sitting around talking; Gary was a great person and he will be dearly missed.
