Not sure what to say?

Gary's memory lives on in Marianne who has always been Queen of his heart with her Mum. Fondest love and special thoughts on this commemorative day I send to both girls. Don't cry for him, he'll be flying around and busy up there for sure!

"Hearts Surrounding Us" by Grand Daughter Zelda

Happy Valentine's Day Gary. I miss you. All my Love, Patricia

Little brother, I still have a hard time just saying your name without becoming emotional. I love you and will miss you so much. I do thank God for the time we had together this pass Thanksgiving and Christmas and the days you stayed with me while going for your appointments at MD Anderson and that I was with you when you left us. That is a gift I will treasure forever. Sleep without pain my darling brother.

I first met Gary when we were neighbors, on Avenue D back in the 1970s. I realize now that I only had a few pieces to the puzzle of his life. Having attended his remembrance, listening to some of his other friends, I have a more complete picture now of his mercurial and vibrant personality. But we agreed that no one has all the pieces to that puzzle - not even Gary.

I remember Gary fondly. I wish to express my sincere condolences to Pat and Marianne. May your memories of Gary's love bring you joy and the strength you need in these difficult days.

Pat and Marianne,
We are thinking a lot about you and Gary during this very sad time.
Gary, thank you so much for all this music you shared on facebook.
Lots of love from Epsom UK

This was a whole new world to me, and Gary made the hard work fun for all us lowly laborers. Just keeping up with his fast walking was quite a workout!
My sympathy goes out to Pat, Marianne, and all the Etie family. I feel that Gary lives on in the fond memories of many people. And his soul in Marianne, the sweet and lovely daughter he...

Our thoughts and prayers are with Gary's family during this difficult time.

One of the most positive things I can take out of our loss, is that it reminds me like a punch in the face, that our time here is so precious and that there is so many trivial things that I squandered time on when I could have picked up the phone and called my brother to talk and catch up on what was going on in our lives. I let the separation of geography come between us, with Gary having left Beaumont after high school. And now he's left us and there's nothing I can do but express my...
