i will miss your great smile and kind ways....always wonderful to me, always made me feel i was visiting your home while in your store~
~so sorry, but i am very blessed to have known such a wonderful man~

One of the best things about going into the store was seeing Mr. Evans. He loved people and getting people the right shoes! Love to his family. Susan Hughes, Groton, MA

Our sincere sympathy to the Evans family. Gary and i were associated together with the Anwelt Corp. many years ago. He was a great guy and will be greatly missed. John and Pat laggis

To the Evans Family,

I am so sorry to learn of Mr. Evan's passing. I used to frequent your store several years ago and got to know Matt and Mr. and Mrs. Evans also. It goes without saying he will surely be missed.

My fondest memories of Townsend was the time I spent visiting Gary and discussing politics. He was always a kind man and a great listener and debater. He was a good man. I will miss him. Semfer Fi brother.

Wonderful man. I always enjoyed seeing him at his store.

Gary you will be missed dearly you were a great person to be around and talk to. And my blessing to his family and friends.

Gary knew how to walk freely and see life with gusto and joy, sharing about his travels all over the world and especially loved his time with his brother in Thailand I think the most. He loved his children and was very proud of the quality of shoes and patience he provided for all his customers. His sons are definitely following in his footsteps. They are great. His smile was infectious as well as his laugh. He was a good person and loved his mother with all his heart. Gary was a good friend.
