Rest in peace Mr. Evans. You were my favorite teacher. My sympathies to your family.

Gail and Family, We are very sorry for your loss. Gary was a wonderful teacher and friend. Years ago, on a very windy day, our young son's favorite hat went flying down our driveway. Gary ran after it and caught it in midair. That act of kindness will never be forgotten.

Gary was a teaching partner in science when I was unexpectedly transfered to middle school science after teaching at the elementary level. I came reluctantly. He stood by me and helped ease the stress of teaching both physical and life science. Gary was not only a great teacher he was a wonderfully grounded honest person..God had a great role model for all who had him as a teacher, colleague and friend..Rest in Peace.

May the love of friends and family carry you through your grief. He will be fondly remembered as one of the best teachers I ever had the pleasure of being taught by. Class of 1987.

May his family find comfort in this difficult time. He was my teacher many years ago and passionate about it. Genuine care for students.

I remember him from school. He was such an awesome teacher. He was so down to earth. I remember one day I was exhausted and he allowed me to nap through a video that day. Everyone loved him. Condolences to the family, he will be missed.

Time is precious and Gary gave so much of his to so many, a life well lived. Thanks coach, RIP. My sincere condolences to Gail and family.

Dear Evans family, So very saddened to hear of Gary's passing. My daughters had him in 6th grade and each came home with stories of all the animals and their antics. His tests were challenging! I had the privilege of substituting for Gary for many years, too. What an excellent teacher and great man. The Aed family
