Not sure what to say?

I am so thankful to have had Gary touch my life via Danielle. Someone here called him "extraordinary." Indeed.

I was stunned to open my email and learn that Gary is not longer with us. I enjoyed him in high school and have to say really enjoyed his warmth, genuiness, and humor at our last reunion. My condolences to his family.

To Gary's Family and Friends...

I extend my heartfelt sympathy to you at this time of sorrow. Gary will be missed dearly by all of those who knew him. I attended Grady High School with Gary back in the 60's but must admit to have lost touch with him in the years since... I do remember though, from those high school years, his very gentle and affable nature. I know all of us, his classmates, morn with you in his passing.

I had the good fortune to be Gary's assistant during his last ABP years. I was young, and he taught me so much -- mostly about living. He was an extraordinary human being, and this is a tremendous loss. But I'm so very grateful I knew him.

Wishing prayers to family & friends. As a former employee of ABP, I found many sides to Gary. One we laughed with and one we learned from. A brilliant man a good person that God has blessed.

For over 5 years Gary was a friendly visitor to my aging parents. He became more than a friend. He became a part of the family. My father passed away in January 2003 . Gary continued to visit my mother in her assisted living home. She looked forward to his visits each week. Gary brought joy into her life. He was just a great guy. My heart goes out to Danielle and the entire Field family. Bob abd Sue Hartley

Gary and I were in high school together but did not become close until years later when we got together at the reunions. He was a gentle man and a gentleman and I mourn his passing. I send Danielle and the rest of the family my love and regards from the Grady Class of 1963.

We are so pained and grieved to hear about your loss of Gary. I saw him briefly last summer in Atlanta and we went to the Varsity and visited our growing up together in Atlanta. My mother Rosalee Danneman was his G-d mother and in the 1940's was great friends with Gary's mom. Our prayers and thoughts are with you. He was a wonderful person who will be remembered. We all would love to help if there is anything at all we can do.
