CHRISMAN, ILLINOIS- Gary S. Francis, 42, of Chrisman, Illinois died Sunday, September 15, 2013. He was a retail manager for Wal-Mart in Paris and Wal-Mart Terre Haute south with 20 years of service. He was born September 9, 1971 in Fort Riley, Kansas to Billy J. Francis and Judith Myers Francis. Survivors include his wife Pam Francis; his parents of Dana, Indiana; two daughters, Catelynn Francis and Ashley Francis; one son, Christopher Francis; one brother, David Francis of rural Dana, Indiana; two sisters, Christie Miller of Newburg, Indiana and Rebecca Francis of Fairview, Indiana; paternal grandmother, Frances Peebles of Covington, Indiana; maternal grandmother, Mary Myers of Newport, Indiana several nieces and nephews; He was preceded in death by paternal grandfather, William Francis and maternal grandfather, Everett Myers and a good friend Floyd Helt. He was a 1990 graduate of South Vermillion High School in Clinton and attended Indiana State University. He attended the Dana First Baptist Church. He was a member of the Greater Terre Haute Chamber of Commerce. He loved sports, hunting, fishing and Taxidermy. Services will be 10:00 am (Indiana Time) Wednesday, September 18, in Overpeck-Gooch Funeral Home at 225 N. Maple Street in Dana, with Pastor Garrett Lee officiating. Burial will follow in Bono Cemetery, Dana. Visitation is 4-8 pm Tuesday at Overpeck-Gooch Funeral Home. Memorials should friends so desire, may be made to the March of Dimes, 136 E.
