Not sure what to say?

I loved Gary very dearly and will always remember him as my big brother. I remember when we lived in Berwind, W.Va. I was 15 yrs. old and Gary came home from college for the summer. We were playing in a summer softball league and Gary was asked to play on my team. The first 4 times at bat he hit 4 home runs. All of my friends thought Gary was great. Gary was very good and was asked by the Milwaukee Braves to try out for the major leagues. Gary never tried out and he never told me why...

Gods Garden.... by unknown
God looked around his garden, and saw an empty space,
he then looked down upon the earth, and saw your darling face
he put his arms around you, and carried you to rest,
Gods garden must be beautiful, he only takes the best.
There are no words to say how much the Gibson family means to me. Gary will always be alive in our hearts. With much love to the family.

Gary is a christian which tells me his soul went into the place called PARADISE in the third Heaven. When the RAPTURE comes Christ will bring his soul back to earth and rejoin his body, the body and soul will then be justified to live in heaven until the Day of The Lord occurs. Bless Gary for being faithful.

Gary was always so pleasant and so kind to me. I remember when we moved to Roanoke from Denver, even though he had Parkinson's at that time, he drove from Blacksburg to our house many days helping us get our house painted. He even put glass in several of our cabinet doors. They are still the prettiest part of my kitchen. Thank you for accepting me into the Gibson family. I love you all.

For over 60 years we never had one unkind word.. too many good times to put on paper....
memories to last for ever..
may peace and comfort be with the family ...
Your unkle Duck

To say goodbye to a family member is very hard, it brings back a flood of memories. While I am not a Gibson by birth, I am proud to say that 44 yrs ago I was accepted into this close, unique family. For the first 20+ years we shared a great deal of our lives together i.e. births of children, deaths of parents, camping trips, golfing, many a holiday and family gathering, golfing, vacations, helping each other move, support in good times and bad, golfing (a reoccurring theme), and a family...

The hardest thing in life is saying goodbye to a loved one, but i know that Gary is looking down on each of us smiling. Someday we will be able to be with Gary again. I loved Gary very much. And he was an inspiration to me. Gary was always there for me when i needed advice and he always supported me. I miss him dearly and can't wait to be with him again. The Gibson family took a hard loss, but he would have wanted us to continue on. And so we will, with Gary in our hearts.

Even though there were several years difference between Gary and I we were close brothers. I remember my youth years going camping with Him, Kathy, Debbie and Jeff and our Dad and my Mom and my sister Phyllis we would all have fun at different Campgrounds. And then when I became older He, my Mom and myself and my wife would go to WVU and VT Football games in Blacksburg and have a great time even going to Jackonsville FL one time for a Bowl Game. And even over the past couple of years when he...

Words cannot describe how much I will miss Uncle Gary. He was so good to me and the rest of my family. I definitely enjoyed attending that Virginia Tech football game together and listening to the stories of his, Uncle Lynn, and Aunt Phyllis' lives - before and after my daddy was born! You will always be in my memory forever as a great uncle! Rest in peace. I love you!
